Comparison of the Efficiency of Initial Dental Alignment with Invisalign® Aligners Changed Every 7 or 14 Days in Mature Adults: Randomized Clinical Trial
Currently, orthodontists are increasingly using invisible aligners in their daily routine. However, several issues still need to be exploited to reach the excellence already done with the orthodontic brackets. A question that is sometimes less addressed is using aligners in more mature patients with a biology different from those of younger ones. Can the aligner protocol change be performed similarly in audiences with age groups and different anatomical behaviors? Or is there a protocol that is best suited for older patients?
Learning Objectives:
After this session, attendees will be able to:
Show that 7-day and 14-day protocols are efficient in the final result.
Demonstrate that older patients’ biology can reach the same results but in a slower time.
Show that the 14-day protocol is preferable in cases of alignment in older patients as only this period can reach the full potential of the aligner movement.
