Since 1993, Dr. Barry Grayson described NAM to perform presurgical orthopedics in patients with cleft lip and palate. We want to verify the effect that this device has on the arch shape in patients with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate. This presentation will answer the following questions: Does NAM decrease the size of the cleft? How NAM affects to the intercanine distance and between the tuberosities? How do we get the major and minor segment get closer or together?
Learning Objectives:
After this session, attendees will be able to:
Explain the use of the NAM and its effectiveness.
Demonstrate the effects on the arch form of the newborns with cleft lip and palate.
Illustrate how to access the morphology of the cleft palate, using 3D tools.
