With the growing interest in esthetics and changing social perception, the number of middle-aged orthodontic patients is increasing. They tend to have periodontal problems and pre-existing systemic conditions; therefore, additional precautions and considerations are required. Careful diagnosis, interdisciplinary treatment, and patient cooperation are required to achieve positive outcomes both from the periodontal and orthodontic point of view. This presentation aims to provide up-to-date recommendations for orthodontic treatment of middle-aged patients.
