Miniscrews are simpler and have lower costs compared to miniplates. This presentation aims at presenting alternative mechanics for maxillary protraction using miniscrews as anchorage in Class III growing patients. Miniscrew-assisted maxillary expanders (Hybrid Hyrax) and two miniscrews in the mandibular arch were used to anchored Class III elastics. A sample of 20 patients treated consecutively is going to be presented. The clinical steps, the short- and long-term outcomes and the cost/benefit ratio of MAMP will be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
After this session, attendees will be able to:
Demonstrate the protocol and to discuss the clinical indications of MAMP therapy.
Present the short- and long-term outcomes of MAMP therapy.
Evaluate the cost/benefit ratio of MAMP in the clinical practice.
