In this lecture, Dr. Lin will share with the audience his experiences with 3D digital orthodontics with CBCT, Digital Indirect Bonding (DIBS), SureSmile, uLab, and 3D printing in combination with self-ligation, TADs, and vPro (high frequency vibration). He will review several complex cases which he has treated with severe Class II, Class III, and Open Bite malocclusions. In the past, orthognathic surgery was the only option for treatment for these patients. However, with the continued advancements with orthodontic technologies, Dr. Lin has created an efficient biomechanics system to give these patients a very acceptable alternative option for treatment versus orthognathic surgery for those patients who do not want surgery or cannot get access to insurance coverage for surgery. Dr. Lin will review and discuss specific details of his treatment mechanics and important considerations for treating these complex case types.
