This session is intended to be audience interactive with the presentation of 4-6 patients who have had sleep studies. We will review relevant findings including skeletal and dental variants, medical history and the audience will decide based on the information available as to whether the patient is not only at risk, but then decide whether the risk assessment was in line with sleep study results.
Learning Objectives:
After this session, attendees will be able to:
Recognize skeletal variants associated with obstructive sleep apnea.
Recognize that questionnaires and clinical assessments are not surrogates for objective sleep studies.
Understand the trend of moving away from the AHI as a severity indicator of OSA and appreciating how other measures may be better reflect the insult of OSA on our bodies.
